Souhegan Valley Karate Club

Sponsored by the Brookline Recreation Commission

We are a non-profit organization that serves all communities in the Souhegan Valley area by offering quality martial arts classes every Saturday.

We offer training simultaneously in three traditional Okinawan styles:

  • Shorin Ryu - our main style of Karatedo.
  • Goju Ryu - our secondary style of Karatedo.
  • Kobudo - the art of weaponry.

The Hollis Karate Club was established in Hollis, NH, in 1987. The club moved to Brookline, NH, and assumed its new name: the Souhegan Valley Karate Club.

Despite the change of names, SVKC has always been a source of knowledge, training, and exercise for entire families interested in the martial arts.

"Chubu Shorin Ryu" means: "The Middle Way through the Small Pine Forest."
"Goju Ryu Karate-do" means: "The Hard Soft Empty Hand Way."
